Australia Awards Scholarships (Australia)
2020-21 Australian Awards Scholarships are open to international students from selected countries in Asia, Pacific, and the Middle East. The scholarships are towards a Bachelor’s, Masters, or Doctoral Degree in fields of study related to your country’s priority areas for development at Australian Universities and Colleges. The deadline has been extended to 30 June 2020. Australia Awards for Africa have already closed. Course starts 2020.

Carnegie Mellon University Australia Scholarships for International Students (Australia)
2020/2021 CMU Australia Scholarships for International Students are open to international students from Asia, South America and Africa. The scholarships are towards Masters degree in Public Policy and Management; Information Technology Management; and Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, offered at Carnegie Mellon University Australia in Australia. Deadline is 15 June 2020.

Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships Scheme at University of Sydney (Australia)
2020/2021 Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships are open to international students from around the world. The scholarships are towards undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in any subject offered at the University of Sydney in Australia. Deadline is 12 June 2020.

International Water Centre Masters Scholarships (Australia)
2020 IWC Masters Scholarships are open to international students from Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Africa and the Middle-East as well as students from North America, Europe, or Asia. The scholarships are towards a Master’s Degree in Integrated Water Management at Griffith University in Australia. Deadline is 1 August 2020.

University of East Anglia International Undergraduate Scholarships (UK)
2020/2021 International Undergraduate Scholarships are open to international students from all over the world. The scholarships are towards undergraduate degrees in any subject, except medicine, occupational therapy or physiotherapy, offered at the University of East Anglia in the UK. Deadline is 14 June 2020. Course starts September 2020.

UWE Millenium Scholarships (UK)
2020 UWE Millennium Scholarship is open to international students around the world. The scholarship is towards eligible Master’s Degree Programmes offered at the University of the West of England in UK. Next deadline is 30 June 2020 for courses starting September 2020.

Professor Rae Earnshaw Masters Scholarship at University of Bradford (UK)
2020/2021 Professor Rae Earnshaw Masters Scholarship is open to international students from all countries. The scholarship is towards Masters degree in any subject offered at the University of Bradford in the UK. Deadline is 12 June 2020. Course starts September 2020.

Orion Master’s Energy Scholarship at University of Canterbury (New Zealand)
2021/2022 Orion Master’s Energy Scholarship are open to international students from around the world. The scholarships are towards Masters degree in research or study with research, related to the energy field offered at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. Deadline is 15 October 2020. Course starts January 2021.

Japan Government Scholarship in Marine Plastic Abatement at Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand)
2020/2021 Japan Government Scholarship for Marine Plastic Abatement are open to international students from developing countries. The scholarships are towards Masters degree in Marine Plastic Abatement offered at the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. Deadline is 30 June 2020. Course starts August 2020.

 

 

 

Public Policy and Management (MSc) at Carnegie Mellon University Australia
The Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSPPM) at the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Australia is a Masters degree program for those who aspire to be a future leader and manager of a public, private or non-profit organization. Students can opt for the 12 months full-time or 2 to 3 years part-time Track, or the 21 months full-time Track. Applicants must have a Bachelors degree, and those applying for the 12 months full time track need to have 3 or more years of professional work experience. The application deadline for August 2020 start is 15 June 2020. The application deadline for Australia Awards is 30 June 2020 while for the CMU Australia Scholarships for International Students is 15 June 2020.

Master of Human Rights (MA) at University of Sydney
Students who wish to undertake the Master of Human Rights at the University of Sydney may opt for the 1 year full time or 1.5 years full time programme (domestic students only) This degree provides you with an understanding of how human rights apply in various political, social, economic and environmental contexts and helps you develop skills in the effective use of human rights tools and language to achieve specific changes in the world. Applicants for the 1.5 years full time degree must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 65% average calculated over the whole degree, from the University of Sydney, including a major in a relevant subject area in the humanities or social sciences, or an international equivalent. The application deadline for Semester 2, 2020 is 15 July 2020, whilst that for Semester 1, 2021, is 11 February 2021. Candidates are urged to apply as early as possible, as offers are made on a rolling basis. The application deadline for the Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships is 12 June 2020, for the International Postgraduate Masters Coursework Commencing Scholarship is 29 June 2020 while that for Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences International Scholarship is 30 June 2020.

Media and International Development (BA) at University of East Anglia
The BA Media and International Development at University of East Anglia is a 3 years full time taught undergraduate degree that allows students to study both media and international development, and the relationship between them, including how media can be employed to carry out international development activities. Applicants with A Levels qualifications must have ABB or BBB with an A in the Extended Project. Other equivalent qualifications are accepted. Applications for September 2020 entry need to have been made via the Universities Colleges and Admissions Services (UCAS), by 15 October 2019 for candidates including Oxford and Cambridge or a Medicine degree course among their entries and by 15 January 2020 for candidates not including Oxford and Cambridge or Medicine among their entries. Applications received after 15 January 2020 will be considered at the University’s discretion. The application deadline for the UEA International Undergraduate Scholarships is 14 June 2020.

Master of Civil Engineering in Renewable Energy (MCE) at University of Canterbury
The Master of Civil Engineering (Renewable Energy) (MCE) is a 1-year full time programme at the University of Canterbury, aimed at graduates from engineering backgrounds, who wish to learn about the variety of renewable energy resources and conversion technologies, system modelling techniques, challenges to sustainability and practical solutions to common issues. Applicants should have completed either a BE(Hons) with first or second class honours, or a BSc (Hons), in appropriate subjects. The application deadline for February 2021 entry is 21 October 2020. The application deadline for the Orion Master’s Energy Scholarships, the H J Hopkins Postgraduate Scholarship and the UC Master’s Scholarship for Students with Disabilities is 15 October 2020.

Master’s Degree in Marine Plastic Abatement (MSc) at Asian Institute of Technology
The Master of Science degree in Marine Plastic Abatement is a new 1-year full time Masters degree program that is launched by the Asian Institute of Technology, commencing August 2020. It aims to train a new generation of environmental leaders who will help combat marine plastic litters with advanced technologies and management practices, and thus help to achieve the SDGs. Applicants should have a Bachelor degree (4-year program or equivalent) in a relevant field of study from an acceptable tertiary institution, with significantly above average grades. The application deadline for August 2020 entry and for the Japan Government Scholarship for Master’s Degree Program in Marine Plastic Abatement, is 30 June 2020.

Master of Educational Leadership (MA) at University of New South Wales Sydney
The UNSW Master of Educational Leadership degree at UNSW Sydney is a 1 year full time taught Masters degree course that will equip aspiring and current educational leaders with the latest theory, research and practice in educational leadership and help them develop the ability to apply disciplinary principles and practices to complex educational environments in roles as school leaders and principals. Applicants must have either a recognised Bachelor degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. Graduate Diploma of Education or Master of Teaching); or a 4-year pre-service teacher education qualification, including professional experience, equivalent to the qualifications required for Graduate teacher status in New South Wales. The application deadline for Term 3, 2020 entry is 31 July 2020 and that for Term 1, 2021 entry, is 30 November 2020. The application deadline for the UNSW International Scholarships is 31 July 2020.

Master in Development Studies (MA) at University of Passau
The Master of Arts in Development Studies at the University of Passau is a 2 years, full time, Masters degree programme taught in English, in which students will acquire the advanced knowledge, analytical skills, and conceptual frameworks required to understand and navigate the complexities of economic and social development. students from developing and emerging countries are particularly urged to apply. Applicants must possess a first (bachelor’s or equivalent) university degree in a social science subject, i.e. economics, anthropology, demography, empirical social or human geography, sociology, political science, administrative science or any other equivalent degree with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits in 1 or several of these disciplines. Students with degrees from outside Germany have to submit their applications for October 2020 entry by 14 June 2020. International applicants, in fact, are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible. The application deadline for the DAAD Helmut-Schidmt Programme Scholarships are is 31 July 2020 for studies commencing AY 2021.

Advanced Practice in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution (MA) at University of Bradford
The MA Advanced Practice in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution at the University of Bradford is a 1 year full-time, or 15 months full time (plus internship) taught degree that trains students in contemporary conflict studies, and helps develop the skills and qualities needed for professional conflict and peace practice. Applicants should have an undergraduate qualification at 2:2 or above or international equivalent, with relevant professional or voluntary experience, desirable. Candidates can apply for the course at any time of the year, for either September or January entry. Candidates will be automatically accessed for the Peace Studies and International Development Scholarship and no separate scholarship application is required. Deadline for Rotary Peace Fellowships is 31 May 2020 while for the Professor Rae Earnshaw Masters Scholarships is 12 June 2020.

Gender and Politics (MA) at University of Bath
The Gender and Politics MA at the University of Bath is a 1 year full-time taught Masters degree that explores how gender intersects with politics, international relations, political theory and public policy and provides deep insight into issues related to gender and the contemporary world. Applicants should have a bachelor’s honours degree or international equivalent, typically a 2:1 or above, in a social sciences subject. The application deadline for September 2020 entry is 30 May 2020 for international students and 31 August 2020 for UK/EU students. The application deadline for the Sanctuary Scholarship is 15 June 2020, whilst that for the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence and the Bath Global Leaders Scholarship is 17 July 2020.

If you are more inclined to take a short course, EdX offers many short courses in social sciences, environmental studies, economics and finance.
